How To Attract Real Estate Property Owners Using Video Marketing

Mark Taylor Video Marketing For Real Estate Agents And Property ManagersYou can use a simple video to attract more clients for your real estate or mortgage business.  The beauty of using video in your marketing is that it is quick and easy and let’s your prospective clients see your personality before they meet you!

One of our long-term (nearly 10 years!) clients, Mark Taylor, is giving a presentation at the National Association of Residential Property Managers (Phoenix Chapter) monthly members meeting.  He’s sharing how he has used video for years to drive more leads, prospects and clients into his real estate business.  So I’m taking the best bits and sharing them here with you!

Use Video For More Exposure Through Social Networks

If you share video content to your social networks like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google+, you have the opportunity to be seen by thousands of people…for FREE!  According to Facebook, the average user has a little over 300 friends as of 2016.  And when one of them shares your video, all of their friends have the opportunity to meet you through your video content.

What type of videos could you share?  Well, one great idea is when you see a disaster in the property that you are managing.  Anything that catches people’s attention has the chance to be shared.  And if it’s funny, it’s even more likely to be shared. One of the cool and unique things about video is that it combines education with entertainment.

Use Video In Your Emails To Share Information Quickly And Easily

You can just convey so much more information in a video email than you can by typing on a keyboard.  Think about replying to a client’s question using a video email.  Not only can you get the answer to them, but you can also show them your expertise and personality in a whole different way!
You can also send it much quicker than it would take to type everything out.  You can easily shoot a video right from your phone and send it.  One recommended service for sending video emails is BombBomb (http://bombbomb.com/).

Use Video To Answer Client Questions And Streamline Your Business

You can use video to answer common questions in your business.  You likely have about 10 or 20 questions that you answer over and over again.  What would it take to write them all down and then answer them on separate videos?  Probably about 30 minutes total time and then you could upload them to your YouTube channel and write templated emails to send every time someone asks the question.

Better yet, you could add the video to your blog website (which easily plays YouTube videos) and then link the emails to your blog site.  Then the prospect or client will be reintroduced to you and your expertise each time they come back to get more information. And once it’s done, you never have to do it again!

Use Video Testimonials To Show Your Expertise And High Level Of Service

One of the most shared types of video content that makes a real difference in Mark’s business is video testimonials from his clients.  Prospects really want to know what they can expect when they work with you in a mortgage or real estate transaction.  The best way to let people know how well you can serve them is through the words and experience of those you’ve already served.  In fact, video testimonials really can become a better salesperson for you than you can do on your own.

A recent Nielsen study showed that the second most trusted way that people gather information about the products they buy or services that they use (the first is a personal referral) is through 3rd party testimonial evidence.  In other words, people have been trained that they can learn about your product or service through the experience of other people.  So make sure you’re asking for testimonials and posting them to your blog as well as sharing them through your business social networks.

The Rule of 3 E’s In Your Video Marketing: Educate, Engage and Entertain

Educate – Your videos should educate prospects and clients to show your expertise and credibility.

Engage – Your videos should engage your prospects and clients with topics that are interesting to them!

Entertain – Any time your videos can deliver some entertainment to your prospects and clients, you’ll get more results from your video marketing!

And to end the presentation, here’s a quote:

“I’m not found for who I am, I am found for what I have.” Mark Taylor
