It’s already November! I hope all of you had a fun and safe Halloween and are looking forward to stuffing yourselves at Thanksgiving toward the end of the month. But before we get there, I want to let you in on a few other important (or not?) things that are happening this month…
First and foremost I want to say thank you to all of our Veteran clients and friends, and also the families of everyone who has served our country. This is more important than ever and as a Veteran myself, I hold my brothers and sisters in arms in the highest regard. Please take a moment to reflect and thank those who signed on to protect all of our freedoms. Veteran’s Day is on November 11th. Call and let a Veteran know that you are thinking about them!
You may have heard of No Shave November before, but did you know that there is a real purpose behind it other than freeing us up from the razor duty? It’s a month-long campaign to raise awareness and funding for cancer prevention, research and education. I didn’t know that before looking it up and it hit close to home since my father passed away a few years ago after battling different forms of cancer for over a decade. So enjoy the break from shaving if you like, and get those cancer screenings scheduled if you haven’t already!
Another critical date to take note of is National Pickle Day on November 14th. I mean, who doesn’t enjoy the crispy crunch of a big old dill pickle? Or maybe the sweet deliciousness of a bread and butter pickle treat? Whatever your taste, pick up a peck of pickles and enjoy… Oh, by the way, this would be a great gift to connect with your most important clients and referral partners if you want to ramp up your business going into the end of the year!
And I’ll leave you with this one. World Kindness Day is a global day that promotes the importance of being kind to each other, to yourself, and to the world. The purpose of this day, celebrated on November 13 of each year, is to help everyone understand that compassion for others is what binds us all together. After all, we would all be better off with a little more kindness in our lives…Right?
Be Kind. Share A Pickle. And Happy Thanksgiving to all!
